The end of Chapter 2015 ❤

A wrap up of 2015

The biggest achievement i have in 2015,
definitely is GRADUATING with a degree.
Wearing that cap was definitely a dream, a goal to me since young.
(Because my parents always say that my brothers are smarter than me, always.)
But thanks to them, I am who i am here today!

I'm really thankful to a lot people who stood by me, going through all the thick and thin with me in this 1.5 years. Uni life wasn't easy but it was indeed a memorable one. Joined netball, which i miss the most since secondary, and met lots of great people there. Because of them, my uni life was very interesting, fun and not that stressful (boring).

There's so many people I’m really thankful for.

Secondly, it will be my trip to Australia for a month.
Had a post-graduation trip with my uni friends, which I never see it coming.
It was a "stepping-out-of-comfort-zone" trip, it was a great.
We only knew each other for about half a year and off on a trip we go!
In Sydney, i went SKYDIVING!
I don't really know where did my courage came from but yeah. It was awesome!
I went to find my cousins alone which I usually don't - as I find it awkward when I barely see them?
But it turns out great, and warmth.
Finally get a chance to see the beautiful opera house too. *Blink Blink*

It was winter in Melbourne. (awesome cooling weather)
I miss eating donuts from Victoria Market and Huxtaburger.
Beautiful scenery down Ocean Road, at Pink lake, Bathing Box.
Places that you wouldn't be able to see it in Singapore?

Lastly, Gold Coast.
It was a chilling last week before heading back to Singapore.
The greatest achievement there would be surfboarding and canoing in the ocean.
Personally, I'm afraid of water. So it is some sort of overcoming my own fear?
Canoing at Bryon Bay was the best experience I've ever had.
The moment when i saw the WHALES and DOLPHINS, so close to me, I'm lost for words.
I'm AMAZED \.(^.^)./
Not to forget, my very first hiking session.
Going through all the steep path and cliff, walking into the woods.
Finding the cave, bellbird lookout and went to gwongoorol pool.
And now i know, before you want to experience something great, you got to suffer alittle to appreciate the beauty of it. haha!

Trip to OZ was amazing. having bad withdrawals now while blogging about this.

On a side note - Trips that i went in 2015:
Australia, Bali, Batam, Bangkok, London and Taiwan.

Thus far, 2015 has been such a great year to me.
& I am thankful for so many many people.
Felt as though as I am the luckiest girl in the world.

& whoo hoo, new addition to my family.

To end off my 2015, here's my year end party with my lovely people.

And something great to start off my 2016.
I've SECURED MYSELF A JOB in something I love to do.
I am so touched and lucky!

Goals in 2016, I will push myself to improve better and be wiser.
To be a good daughter, friend, girlfriend, colleague.

Right now, I am all ready for 2016!
May 2016 be a greater year for me.

3 Day 2 Night In Indonesia, Bali Seminyak

Indonesia Bali

Instagram: #ZannInBali
Eat, Sleep, Beach, Drink x Repeat

Things to note: Ask and Slash the price before saying you want to buy.

AIRLINE

Jetstar: SGD129
Two-Way
Without Check In Baggage

ACCOMMODATION

Airbnb: Red Moon Villa near Double Six Beach

Price: SGD424 for 2 nights
Accommodate: 6 - 8 people
Convenience: About 10 minutes walk to Double Six Beach or Bintang Supermarket
Cleanliness: 3 / 5

Located in the middle of Bintang Supermarket and Double Six Beach, this villa has a warm and friendly owner that is very welcoming to all guests.

The owner is efficient in handling problems regarding the villa and does it within an hour.
Example: Our air-con wasn't working well and we texted him.
Within half an hour, the air-con repair man came.

Another problem faced though, was the toilet.
The one on the second floor may have water dripping to the first floor toilet.
This could be due to wear and tear
& the owner could only fix it when we left.
Aside to this, everything else in the Villa was up to our expectation.

The pool is kinda small but deep.
& A cleaner will be there every day to clean the villa.
So it isn't that bad after all.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay in the with a pool party to end things off.

DRIVER

Driver: Kadek Budiarta
Price for the whole day: About SGD50 ; 500,000Rupiah
Airport by the normal way: SGD20 ; 200,000Rupiah

He is very sincere, patient, kind and helpful.
He speaks English very well and is contactable via facebook.
He is highly recommended by locals too.

As there was bad traffic on the way to the airport,
he suggested another route to us and told us about the additional toll required.

Very thankful for this as we avoided the jam and did not miss our flight!

BEACHES

DOUBLE SIX BEACH at SEMINYAK

Along Arjuna Road(Double Six Road), Seminyak

A nice place to relax that soothes your mind.
Rent a bed by the beach and go for a massage as you bask away in the lovely sun all day.
Accompanied by a spectacular sunset that will amaze you with its color.

Massage is about SGD15; 150,000Rupiah for an hour.

Walk around and you'll find beautiful hotels like Double Six Hotel and Cocoon Beach Club.
These places are really beautiful.
I would love to stay there on my next trip.

*Take note: Always ask how much the corn is and slash the price before buying.
Day 1 I bought a corn at SGD2 after slashing the price,
Day 2, I thought it will be SGD2 too without asking and,
I was charged SGD3 instead. If you pay with big notes, the vendor may even refuse to return you the change till you argue with him.

So please remember to check on the price & slash it before making your purchase.

POTATO HEAD BEACH CLUB
Jl. Petitenget 51B Seminyak, Bali 80361

Potato Head Beach Club is near a range of cafes,
Eg: Living Stone Bakery, Gardin Bistrot and many more.

Everyone comes for its scenery and simply to unwind by the pool.
You can view the panoramic scenery of the sea while taking a swim.
Do go earlier if you want to rent the bed by the sea or pool.

Their drinks are a little more pricey, about $15 and above for a cup but it taste good.

CLUBS

Bali Joe Club
Jalan Camplung Tanduk No. 8, Kuta, Badung,
Bali 80361, Indonesia

Besides Bali Joe, there are a few other clubs.
These are the clubs that I went to, being near my apartment.
Apparently these clubs are gay clubs.
So don't be surprise if you see two guys kissing!
They have nice dance shows to watch too! Haha!
Which would blow your mind away.

Just walk along this street,
Jl. Legian, Kuta, Kabupaten Bandung
and you will be able to find various clubs and bars.

Example: Vi Ai Pi, Paddy's Pub, Sky Garden and many others.

FOOD

Kunti 2 Japanese Restaurant
Benesari Street No.4, Kuta, Bali
Indonesia 80361

Cheap, Fresh, Awesome.
Definitely worth your trip there!

Jl. Petitenget 88
Kerobokan - Bali 80361

The ambience and concept here is relaxing and beautiful.

Their main course taste really good and is served in quite a large portion.
If you are a fan of beef, you should really try:
SUCCULENT SIRLOIN STEAK, Thick and Juicy.
Tastes really gooood and it is only SGD19.20!!!!
Definitely worth the price.

Well, for the overwhelming watermelon bread.
It looks pretty but it simply taste like a normal plain bread.

JI. Pantai Kedonganan,
Indonesia

Highly recommended for a SUNSET SEAFOOD dinner!
Try to be there at about 5pm before you miss the sunset.
There are various seafood stores along the beach for you to choose.
I have chosen Ganesha Seafood Café as there have been a few recommendations by my friends.

It may not be a 5-star restaurant.
But who needs that with such a view, and
Staff and FRESH LIVE SEAFOOD that makes up for it.
Rather than heading to other overrated seafood places that take up to an hour to serve you,
I would rate 4 stars over 5 for Ganesha Seafood Café.

Gardin Bistro and Pattiserie
Jl. Petitenget No.106, Kuta Utara,
Kabupaten Badung,
Bali 80361, Indonesia

This restaurant is good for their ambiance especially if you want to impress your date.
BUT
The food does not taste as nice as it looks.
It is pricey too.

Not recommended.

Street Food
If you happen to pass by this at Double Six Beach,
You can try the meatballs, wanton soup.
It is pretty nice!

SHOPPING

Mahendradata 238b, Denpasar Barat
Bali, Indonesia

Took a photo in BALI and came across this shop,
that allows customization,
located right opposite Bintang Supermarket.

The material is comfortable and the prints are beautiful.

Not too sure about the exact price but it was definitely worth the money!

All in all, we didn't go to a lot places as our objective was to take a break from work.
So, these are some things that you can do for a 3 Day 2 Night Trip.
